What is that NOISE!!?!?!

Well, the noise could be the washer that held the ponies tail in place, or it could be mold and other skuzzy stuff but that's another procedure. The noise from the pony is usually just the washer rattling around in the body. To keep the ponies tail in place, and to prevent it from easily coming out from brushing, the MLP manufacturers placed a metal ring like washer over the part of the tail that went inside the body. It is especially easy to undo the tail and the washer in the earlier ponies like Medley and even some flutter ponies like Cloud Puff. In the later versions, Hasbro designed the washed to have to little points on them to grip onto the tail better. Anyway, here's the procedure to fix that noisy problem.

Your Supplies should consist of:

- Pony with loose washer in the body

-Pair of scissors

-String

-Pliers

(-Knife)

(-Rubber bands)

( )- optional, if needed

Procedure:

1.) Acquire all of the needed supplies, and start the procedure of taking off the ponies head.

2.) You may need a knife to cut the gluey parts around the neck to take the head off. When the head is off, take out the tail and shake out the washer inside the body.

3.)Next cut about 6 inches of string and loop it around half of the tail. (Look at the picture and do that)

4.)Next, you are going to thread the two ends of the string into the tail hole of the pony. You will probably have to use the pliers to pull on the string to help get the tail through the hole.

5.) When there is enough string through the neck hole, place the ring so it goes over both ends of the string.

6.)Your next task is pulling the string so that you will be able to get the ring over the metal clip on the tail. What helps is to squish the body so that it it gives you more tail to work with through the neck hole, instead of pulling more than half the tail through the other end.

7.)This is the easy step. Once you have the metal ring over the metal clip on the tail just remove the string.

8.)Now all you have to do is pull gently on the tail so that the tail is a reasonable length. Don't pull too hard or you may cause the metal ring to fall off again.

9.)Then just put the head back on and your pony should be all better. ^_^

Now your all done! No more rattling noise (hopefully)!

Many times when the inside of the pony gets excessively wet (like, if you ever brought a pony into the bath tub and didn't let the inside of the pony dry) the water will cause the metal ring and even the metal clip on the tail to rust. Some times the metal clip is soooo rusty that it just breaks and crumbles in your hand (we've had a couple like this). When we didn't have an extra washer we used just a simple rubber band, and rapped it around the tail (around step 5) which held it in place.
