"What tis this Posie Pink Treatment I hear thou speaketh of?" you say.

The Posie Pink Treatment is what we call the solution for sun bleached pink haired ponies. This solution is good but is not a life long solution. What I mean is, is that this will wash out and can be sun bleached again, but if your looking for a quick, low cost, non- hazardous solution here you go. Don't worry, if you don't like it, this is reversible. (There is an important note on the bottom)

Lets begin!

Your supplies should consist of:

- Pony with sun bleached pink hair

- Red Food Coloring

- Water (water is in bowl in the pic)

- Plenty of paper towels (to keep your work space clean)

- and I used a tooth brush to apply the solution

Procedure:

1.) Acquire all supplies (what you need most are red food coloring, pony (of course), and water)

2.) Take the red food coloring tube and squeeze a couple drops into a small amount of water and mix around until the food coloring is diluted.

3.) Choose your victim *coughcough* I mean pony (we used UK Wind Whistler). Brush your ponies hair out so its nice and straight on one or two paper towels.

4.) Apply small amounts of the red food coloring from the water with a tooth brush and comb into the ponies hair.

5.) When you feel you have put enough on the hair (be careful not to get the food coloring on the pony b/c it can leave a mark if not washed away before it dries) place the pony out of the way until the hair dries.

6.) Then just wash the ponies hair and some of the dye should stay. If you want more coloring just repeat these easy steps.

Her hair is more pink and in the picture

Ta da! Okay...so Wind Whistler wasn't the greatest example since she has light pink hair already but look at our other ponies who we have tested this on!!

There is Kiss Curl, Posie (of Course), Rosey Love, Flurry, and a bunch of babies. These were all victims of sun beaching but now, thanks to the Posie Pink Treatment they all have nice pinky hair! ^_^

If you added a lot of coloring to the hair and forgot about it (like we did for Baby Lickety's tail *coughcough*) and it didnt really wash out, and is now bright pink and is too bright for your pony, DON'T FRET! Don't worry, just think, how did it get to be white in the first place??? The SUN!! Yes! Just place the hair out in the sun for a couple hours and it should be white or a slight pink again so you can try again!

Before

After

Baby Lickety's Tail was too bright for her, so we left it in the sun and it turned white again.

Hope this helps!!

Important Note

Be careful if you are trying The Posie Pink Treatment on So Soft ponies. The dye can be soaked up by the fuzz. If this happens, leave the pony in the sun for a bit and redo the Posie Pink Treatment more carefully on the hair.

Questions?? Comments?? Let me know of your success stories, and I might make a page of people who have tried the Posie Pink Treatment who met with success!
