My so soft pony keeps on shedding!! I say LOSE the fuzz!
This is a common problem with so soft ponies. So soft ponies usually get rub marks around their feet, wings, horns, and every other place. A rub mark, for the record, is a spot on a so soft pony where there is no more flocking which has been "rubbed" away. If you want to take off the fuzz on one of your so soft ponies, my advice would be to only deflock a so soft pony if it is in really bad condition and that it is not a rare pony. Also, if this is your first deflocking, I would suggest you use a common pony anyhow. The paint thinner may affect the symbol too.

Your supplies should consist of:
-A so soft pony in need of deflocking
(I am going to use ss Ribbons not Wing Whistler)
- A WELL VENTILATED AREA TO WORK IN!!!!!!
- Paint thinner or paint remover ( I used Kutzit but paint thinner should work)
- Paper towels
-Knife
-Sand paper
-and maybe a few hours of free time (took me a looong time because I had first tried to reflock Ribbons with fuzz and superglue, the super glue was "super" and didn't come off very well.)
Procedure:
1.) Acquire all of your materials and it would be best to start out with the head off of the pony and the tail off. You may need to use a knife to cut the glue to get the head off of the pony. When the head is off you can shake out the washer. In other words, disassemble your pony (like the picture of Medley)
2.) Before working with the paint remover, make sure you are going to be working in a well ventilated area like outside.
3.) Now all you have to do is pour some paint thinner or paint remover (I used Kutzit) onto you pony and use the paper towels to spread it around the body.
4.) The paint thinner (paint
remover) should loosen the glue and now all
you have to do is scrap off the fuzz and the glue with a knife. Be careful on
not nicking the ponies body with the knife. You should also use the sand paper
to loosen areas up. Also, careful while working around the painted areas like
the eyes and the symbol.
5.) When the fuzz is removed just give your pony a nice wash and let it dry.
6.) When the body is dry just put the tail back in. Follow the steps for Shake Rattle 'n Roll to get the tail back together.
7.) When the tail is back together then just put the head back on and you should be all set.

Symbol
Notice how the paint remover removed parts of Ribbons symbol. To get the symbol back to normal just use some acrylic paint that matched the color and just paint it back on (I will write another procedure for that when I get around to it, but it shouldn't be too hard).
Reason why it took me longer
We had tried
our reflocking method on
Ribbons which included the use of
super glue. The reflocking looked very uneven so we wanted to deflock her. The
normal fuzz came off but the fuzz that was held on by the super glue was almost
impossible to get off. See those areas on the legs on the body?? That was super
glue. It took a long time of scraping to get it to be decent looking.
