CHERRY SWEET’S COOKING MYSTERY!
By: Cherry Sweet One day on a summer’s morning, the 3 of the Cookery ponies rose in their home of Paradise Estate. Their fourth sister, Queen Cherry Sweet was already up making some beautiful swashbuckles for breakfast. Swashbuckles are a lovely mixture of pastry and jam with a bit of honey on the top. They made up feel or warm inside-Queen Cherry Sweet was the creator! After breakfast, QCS looked through a window at the happy ponies down the hill. Paradise Estate was set on a big hill, which QCS loved to trot and gallop around on. QCS looked down at her happy kingdom and smiled. The cooking fair would be on in a couple of weeks in another Ponyland called ‘Dream Valley’ there would be a cooking contest! She was excited and planned to enter her Swashbuckles recipe. Soon the day came and QCS was giddy. She had here beautiful Swashbuckles ready! At the fair, they tasted her and talked to each other in whispers. Soon they announced, the first place winner…Queen Cherry Sweet or Cherry’s Sweet’s Ponyland! After she accepted her award and was congratulated so many times, the crowd was gone. She looked around for her Swashbuckles-she planned to take them home for dinner! However, QCS didn’t find them. After half an hour of looking she shrugged and went on her way. Mysterious things started to happen after that. She baked different things and won prizes at cooking fairs, but afterwards couldn’t find the leftovers. Finally one day she didn’t win. A strange looking human with black hair and an evil smile won. She asked if she could taste his. ‘Of course, Cherry Sweet! Only you though, you that lives in Paradise Estate on the hill!’ How does he know that? Cherry Sweet thought. I have never told him! She tasted it anyway and suddenly realized. These foods were some of her Swashbuckles, Honeydukes, Gobstoppers and other amazing pastries! This man had stolen them! How long he had been watching her she didn’t know… Queen Cherry Sweet looked at him and stared. ‘Why??’ she began to stammer. By then most of the ponies, bushwollies and MLP Friends had left. ‘Because,’ he hissed ‘You have the best cooking in the world!’ with that he vanished! QCS galloped home and told the other ponies what happened. Some shuddered or whimpered. QCS had to decide. Finally she said, ‘Ponies, you shouldn’t worry. I for one have a plan!’ QCS entered another cooking contest with a bad tasting fudge. She wouldn’t let the man try it, and of course the man won out of QCS recipes. A couple of weeks later, she entered another cooking contest. The man had QCS fudge there. He obviously hadn’t tasted it as the leave on the top was perfectly arranged like QCS put it. Then, quickly before the judges could see she put a spell on the fudge. It was a spell that if anyone evil tasted that fudge they would be banished to leave the land forever! She told the man to taste it and he sneered at her and took a taste. Suddenly he vanished…… The ponies never saw the man again all because of QCS clever thinking and QCS entered a lot more cooking contests…and won! |
