THE BABY PONY MYSTERY
One
day in the fields of Ponyland sat a group of ponies. ‘Order, ORDER!’
shouted a pony in the middle. The pony was sparkly pink with purple hair
with strands of shiny tinsel in it. The ponies’ chatter stopped and
they turned to look at her. The pretty pink pony then nodded to another
pony. The other pony was slightly smaller and white. She had a horn and
a sparkly symbol. ‘Thanks Princess Sparkle!’ the white pony said and
then turned to her audience. ‘Hello Ponies! My name is Gusty and I am
the leader of PSMWA. (Pronounced Pismwa) Ponies Solving Mysteries with
Action. I am pleased to announce that we have solved the crime of the
missing cookies. Baby Lickity Split was the culprit. In the crowd mother
Lickity Split blushed and shrugged.
‘Sadly though,’ continued Gusty. ‘Another mystery has
popped up.’ The ponies looked around talking or whispering. Gusty
rolled her eyes. ‘Ponies… Ponies…. PONIES!’ shouted Gusty and
soon the chatter died down. ‘Please ponies-keep your chatter to a DULL
roar.’ The ponies giggled ‘Well anyway, it seems something is up
with the baby ponies. They are acting very quiet and not as, lets say,
naughty. I am sure they are plotting something but I can’t think of
anything. What do you ponies think?’ There was a cough in the crowd
then a sneeze. Gusty shook her head. ‘Well I now pronounce this is a
MYSTERY! Now with the help of Cherry Sweet, Moon Bug, Lady North Star
and Darklighter we will try and solve the mystery!’ with that she
clapped as the ponies stood up at turn, Darklighter bowing at her turn
walked off stage, while the ponies chatted and clapped. The meeting was
over! Cherry
Sweet ducked around a corner and giggled. She felt very silly. She
munched on some grass then galloped over to the nursery. Walking with
her head down she casually walked by until she reached the window. She
then stuck her nose in the window and looked around. Inside were Baby
Gusty, Moondreamer, Stockings, Bouncy, North Star and a couple others.
Baby Gusty was standing on a mountain of pillows and talking to the
ponies. Cherry Sweet chuckled and tossed her wild red hair. Baby Gusty
was exactly like her mum. She let her mind drift for a minute to think
about Gusty. It was her birthday in two weeks. What should she get her?
Suddenly a baby pony saw her and rushed to close the blinds. Well!
Thought Cherry Sweet and trotted away. Then she heard a shout. ‘Swait,
Serry Tweet!’ shouted a baby pony. ‘Come din!’ she smiled and ran
into the nursery…. Darklighter
dove round a tree and hardly ducked Baby Lofty hitting her. Baby Lofty
giggled and smiled as she flew clumsily into the air. ‘I’ll give her
something to cry about in a minute!’ she whispered to Lady North Star.
LNS smiled and patted Darklighter’s head. ‘Don’t worry,’ she
whispered. ‘We’ll get em sometime!’ She then galloped away
beckoning for DL to follow. DL shook her head and trotted after her. Moon
Bug and Gusty looked around the bend with binoculars. There was a group
of baby ponies sitting down in the Paradise Estate kitchen making
something. It made Gusty smile. Her own baby was sitting there giving
orders as usual. Moon Bug looked at her and raised a perfectly arched
eyebrow. ‘What do you suppose they are doing Gust?’ she whispered to
Gusty. ‘Hmmm?’ said Gusty. She was dreaming of her birthday the next
day where Baby Gusty said she would have the best present ever. She
wasn’t even sure if the others realized it was her birthday. However
Gusty didn’t see CS, DL and LNS sitting around with the ponies. Only
Moon Bug did and smiled. Just then Baby Heart Throb looked over and for
a minute she thought that the baby pony WINKED at Moon Bug. But it was
probably only her imagination… The
next morning on Gusty’s birthday, Gusty woke and hopped out of bed.
She couldn’t wait to see the surprise that Baby Gusty would give her.
Baby G yawned as she came into the warm kitchen. ‘Hi Mummy. Sappy
Birthday!’ The
little pony reached out and gave her a hug. ‘Now come outside to see
my present!’ they went outside and she looked around. There was a
breeze in the beautiful surrounds but somehow Gusty figured her baby
didn’t give her that. Then, out of the blue, all her friends,
Darklighter, Cherry Sweet, Queen Sparkle, Baby Princess Sparkle, Moon
Bug and Lady North Star and the nursery babies all jumped out and
shouted –SURPRISE! Gusty smiled and laughed. She was shocked! In the
middle Moon Bug placed a wonderful cake on the lawn table and all the
ponies started celebrating Gusty’s birthday. It just goes to show how
some mysterious simply shouldn’t be discovered! Thanks for reading! |
